To make the process simpler and for the allocations to be distributed faster, residents are encouraged to have their application done on the Internet. Though they're still able to send hard copies of the needed documents, it might cause some delays and would significantly be more complex. Particularly for the elderly, the new system may be daunting but the training provided is user-friendly and makes the process more hassle-free. After the initial procedures, the process would get simpler as citizens familiarize themselves on what they need to do.
To determine how much support each citizen needs, they'll be given an assessment which consists of different questions about different areas. To learn about their specific needs, it will be necessary to have an assessment. Areas such as behavior, cognitive skills, mobility, and nutrition are included in the assessment. To help residents know how to complete the assessment correctly, an acfi user guide is provided for them.
To take care of their elderly citizens, the acfi is the primary tool used by the Australian government.
